Bangladesh Association, Houston hosted a two-day (May 29 & 30, 2007) mobile consular service for the Bangladesh – American community in Houston. For two days, the mobile consulate office provided over 150 services including renewal of passport, no visa required for US passport, issuance of passport, Attestation of Power of Attorney, lost passport replacement, and dual nationality.
We were honored to have Mr. Sheikh Mohammed Belal, ChargĆ© d’ affaires of Bangladesh Embassy in the United States, presence in Houston. He delivered a keynote speech at a panel discussion organized by the Association. In his deliberation, Mr. Belal emphasized the importance quota-free access to the US market. He urged Bangladeshi citizens and businesses to lobby for duty-and quota-free access of the Bangladeshi products in the United States. Local Bangladeshi business leaders and respected community members participated in the discussion.
The Bangladesh-American Center and Bangladesh Association provided an efficient office environment where Photocopy machine, Instant Passport Photos, Notary and other services were accommodated to have a well-organized service for our community.
